Hi All,
I just took my medications (added a xanex for anxiety) and I'm ready for bed. To day was up and down. I had company and phone calls and lots of e-mail. You realize the friends you have when the **** hits the fan (so to speak). I'm being pro-active. I called my oncologist in San Francisco to relay my news.  He's on it- said he would be very surprised if my cancer had spread but it's not impossible. I said yes- but very unlucky. He is going to have his experts review the MRI and he already set up a PET Scan for September 7. We'll see how it goes. My eyes are swollen with crying but I think the worst of the shock is over. Thank you to those that responded to my post. The school district is replacing me at my school and they took away my extra assignment. They are realizing that this could be serious and long term. Be very grateful for your health.

Morning Julia,  I'm hoping that by talking about your condition your fears will be easier to handle.

You have a boat load of sisters willing to listen.

Sending you the very best , Peg

Just a quick stop by to ask everyone to say a little prayer for Mary.  She is having oral surgery at 1PM to have posts implanted in her gums.  Her dentures will be magnetic and no more denture cream.

Two hour surgery.  Hope to have her home by 4.  Because insensitive me has a ballgame to go to.  LOL.  Hey, give me a break, I arranged for her friend to sit with her.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Of course George. I think that is only second to childbirth, when it comes to pain.

Good EARLY morning!!!

Going back and reading posts....

George, I hope Mary enjoys those new 'teeth'.  Wish I could have that done for my sister.

Julia, be encouraged that your doctor is 'on it'!!  Sorry for the tears, but good you are getting those darned old wet things out of the way.  There's work to be done.

Talked to KarenC.. life without internet... what did we do without it????  Our window to the world was sooo much smaller.

Susan, hope the toe is better.  I walked all over NO years ago. Haven't been back. The Ramada on Bourbon Street lost our luggage (actually mistakenly put it on a tour bus), so they paid for us to get new clothes and comped our stay as long as we wanted to stay waiting for our stuff to get shipped back.  We stayed an extra four days... and went home... a week later, our luggage arrived at our house.. missing all of our souveneirs and any electronics (cameras, shaver, etc).

Having second thoughts about today... hope I'm doing this right and following the 'book on weight loss'... the last little thing on my personal 'do it for me' bucket list is a facelift to get rid of the 3 inches of hanging skin on face and neck.  Surgery is at 8 a.m. this morning.  Hope I'm not a Joan Rivers or a Kenny Rogers.. (that comes from my encouraging family).  Of course, I didn't make the decision to have it done this wee****il 5:30 Monday afternoon.. and didnt' tell anyone until yesterday because I wasn't sure how my labs would turn out... so I've got a pretty p'o'd group of family.. and a friend taking me to the surgery center.  I'll be home this afternoon.  LOVE GOOD DRUGS!!!  Everyone says this will be a walk in the park.. hope so.

Well, that's all my news.. I so appreciate having you all in my life.  It's a journey, for sure...and so much more enjoyable with chosen family that understand.

Ummm... Thelma, if you end up a Kenny Rogers, they did the wrong surgery.

Love you, and thinking about you.

Talk to you soon.

Morning all....
So many needs on our forum this week.....prayers for all that need them.

Getting settled back into 30 min. on the bike every day....four days in a row now -- I've ridden  over 16 miles this week.  The scales are heading in the right direction and I have so much more energy.  Hoping this will also strengthen my legs for all the walking in Germany.

Where's our Margo?  Hope all is okay there.

Time to finish my oatmeal and get ready for work.

Pat R.
